Her Story…

Mackenzie is a young professional with lived experiences within the child welfare system. At age 15 she was placed into the foster care system. She lived in multiple foster homes until she went off to college, received her degree and aged out of the foster care system.

She received her bachelor's degree in communication and a minor in marketing from Southwest Minnesota State University. During her time at SMSU she was involved with the marketing club and was the school mascot, she also helped with the schools social media pages.

She first got involved with P4P in 2022 during the RCSS project. Her journey has given her a unique perspective that has taught her optimism and resilience. 


Her Role…

Mackenzie is an ambitious self-starter who now works for Partnerships for Permanence as a program coordinator.

She helps facilitate our YAC and YEAG programs, along with different child welfare trainings and events throughout the organization. She helps develop, plan, and administer innovative programming activities by creating strategic recruitment and engagement plans.
