Introducing….
CENTERING CONNECTIONS PROGRAM
Partnerships for Permanence (P4P) has developed multiple educational training series to raise community awareness, by increasing foster care/adoption and intercultural competence. We want to partner with foster and adoptive individuals or families, child welfare agencies, faith-based community members to increase awareness and develop champions for child welfare reform.
The current climate has shed light unto systemic racism and the disparities within the child welfare system. There is a disproportionate (increased) number of families from communities of color that are experiencing family disruptions/separation due to economic and social instability.
We want to:
spark meaningful conversations about family experiences within the child welfare system, by providing educational training opportunities to discuss the intersectionality of race and family.
train families and professionals to better understand how to advocate for children and youth within the child welfare system and;
develop transformational tools and assessments for how your community/organization can promote and attend to the well-being of children in the child welfare system.
How do you keep the focus on the children, while changing lives and transforming the system? We have developed an exciting program/training session/curriculum to help you “Put Children at the Center of Your Organization/Community and Change The System in the Process.”
