Lisa
LCS Program Coordinator
The Resilient Leader
Her Story…
Lisa first heard about Partnerships for Permanence during her sophomore year of college when her professor shared an email about a leadership program. Intrigued by the opportunity to learn more about child welfare and develop her leadership skills, she decided to join the “Leaders Changing the System” program in 2019.
After completing the program, Lisa became invested in P4P’s mission and joined as an intern and continued to contribute to their advocacy for foster youth and adoptees. As an intern, she played a role in coordinating listening sessions, which provided valuable insight into the challenges faced by foster youth and adoptees, such as feeling disconnected from their case managers and lacking necessary resources.
In 2020, Lisa graduated from Hamline University with her Bachelor of Arts in Public Health Science. She ventured into other career paths, including working as a shelter advocate and scheduling coordinator.
